Worship for the Seventh Sunday of Easter (24th May)

Tomorrow, is the Sunday after Ascension and we will be online again for morning worship at 10:00 am when our preacher will be Revd Dr Stephen Adams. At Evening Prayer (at 6.00 pm), the Revd Victoria Ashley is the preacher. If you would like to join either or both of these services, use the following link: Parish of Cowbridge Worship. We will be online fifteen minutes before each service to welcome people and help with any technical difficulties. We look forward to welcoming you.

[The link will take you to the Zoom app and you might need to download the app to your device – that should be easy to do. It will also ask for a password to get into the meeting – this has been emailed to those on our electoral roll.

If you don’t have the password and would like to join us, please contact the Rector by email on rector@cowbridgeparish.com or text or phone 07506 689450 to request the password.]

We will provide the words for the service directly through your device, but if you would like to download the slides, they will be available beforehand (please check back here for the link): Morning Worship and Evening Prayer. The readings and prayer requests are available as usual through Pews News

Thy Kingdom Come

Ascension Day also begins a ten-day period of prayer leading up to the Day of Pentecost (31st May). We will be meeting on Zoom for Morning Prayer on weekdays at 9.15 am. In addition, the Thy Kingdom Come initiative also has many resources for individuals, families and groups: Thy Kingdom Come.

The UK Blessing – Several of our congregation have been encouraged by this blessing sung by musicians from churches across Britain. You can view it by clicking on the link.

During the week we are saying morning prayer together at 9.15 using the same link as for Sunday services. All are welcome to join us for 30 minutes of spiritual refreshment.
We will also be holding our Wednesday and Friday “coffee mornings” at 11.00 – just use the same link as above to join. We’d love to see you for a chat.

O God the King of glory,
you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ
with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven:
we beseech you, leave us not comfortless,
but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us
and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
